How do i draw people from different angles and poses?
-
i always draw people's faces but it looks boring and fake because i do it the same every time. i don't know how to draw people in different poses and stuff without it looking fake. i tried sketching it out, or starting them off as stick figures and then adding their limbs and stuff, but it never works and they end up looking deformed and weird.

The best way is really to drawing what you see. I recommend looking at reference photos of people in different poses. It's going to definitely take time and practice, of course, but just keep at it and you should notice yourself improving. :) When drawing your stick figure base you should also draw the general shape of the body, too. The upper body should make a triangular hourglass sort of shape. Studying anatomy from online tutorials will help you out in this aspect.

Something very important you must understand for figure drawing is proportions and how the body is able to move and bend. The easiest way is to draw, and this is just practice for 30minutes to an hour every night and soon you will under stand proportions from all sides and angles. A great site for this would be http://www.posemaniacs.com/ they have more poses than you'll ever know what to do with it is like having your own personal model. A side note in this half hour try and get at least 10 stick figures done and 2 full body poses done. Over time you will notice you have a better understanding for the human body and a better mastery of drawing the human figure shape and faces. Also i would recommend investing in an anatomy book that will help you well on your way as well. There is no magic button or answer for this, the only real magic "answer" is practice that is your key

i know it might be boring but try to drew just the eyes at different angels then noses mouths and rough out lines of the head at different angels, also try not to hold the pencil like a pen try to hold the pencil between the thumb and for finger with the pencil running down the palm like you would hold a sword and stand back a little from your work the piece will be at eye level, it takes practise but you can become boulder with your pencil strokes. hope this helps
