Hi does anyone know where I can get a free example/ template for a cv thanks?

If you go onto www.seek.com.au you can fill in your resume details there, then save, preview and copy it. It looks much nicer then some of the download templetes you get off the net.

There are several in MS Word or WordPerfect and probably one or two in OpenOffice - useable for a school project, but not very good for real use. There is also a really crappy program called WinWay Resume Maker. In the Word Processor's use drop down menu's in File, Open Doc and then chose from the long list of types of documents that are available.

CV, or Curriculum Vitae, is used by academics, clinicians, researchers, artists, performers, writers (others) and is far more detailed than a simple resume. Please note that despite a CV’s greater length (in that it often lists ALL experience and/or ALL activity) it is still expected to be written clearly, concisely, and kept absolutely up to date. A CV’s format changes given the type of work, as a CV will highlight most pertinent aspects in that genre, then give the full list of activity. There are other slight formating differences as well. For example (most) artists, particularly visual artists, will be expected to have an "artist's statement", where as a medical researcher will be expected to have a paragraph on "focus of research". There are many styles of CV and references to create CVs on the web, these are just a few. I'm assuming you are an artist because of the catagory of this question.
