How can I save gif pictures?

GIF pictures?

  • When i save my pictures as GIFs, theres these uglyyy little dots all over (usually on the parts with the most color). example: http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/4012/yuu1yf7.gif http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/4559/yahyahhr5.gif does anyone know how to get rid of em? i use paint shop pro and animation shop 3 by the way..

  • Answer:

The GIF format supports only an 8-bit (256) color palette. Your original PSP image files had colors beyond the spectrum that GIFs can display, causing a grainy effect on your images. I'd recommend that you save another copy of your PSP image file(s) as a JPG/JPEG file. JPEG supports 24-bit (16.7 million) color palette and might be better suited for the type of images you shared in this question. If you must save those image files as GIF, you can experiment with your optimization settings to try and reduce the 'little dots': In PSP: Open the image. On the menu bar: File -> Export -> Gif Optimizer or In AS: Open the image. On the menu bar: File -> Optimization Wizard
