Does being in band help you become a better drawer?

Joshua, It doesn't help directly, but people who work in one kind of the arts often have talent in some of the others. It's not guaranteed, but it does seem to occur with a high frequency. You can take both band and fine art in high school. If your mom says no to that, you can do it in college or afterwards. I teach art, mostly to adults. I see people in their 50s, 60s, and 70s, who are just trying art for the first time. Several of them turn out to be quite talented. You can start at any time in your life. There are many people who want to be animators. Most don't make it becausee to do that job you have to be able to draw what you are told to draw very fast, and exactly the same, over and over. Many people who have worked in animation leave it disillusioned because they thought they would decide what they wanted to draw, and to draw things that meant something to them.
