How to become a successful artist?

  • so...all my life i've been wanting to become an artist, it's really all i want to do, ive never had a class before but i pretty much taught myself about everything. Now every time someone see's my art they go "holy sh*t! you should be an artist" now im way a head of any art class i feel as if im getting dragged back with stuff i all ready know. im 14 and i know i still have to know more to become a really great artist. but like others im told that i should seek a real job and that i might end up a failed artist...although that is true as shown in history such as those that only become famous after death. im here to ask for tips to shine a little bit of hope for me to become an artist

    dude i know how you feel. im 15 an im love art and painting. Thanks for the comment on my painting haha. but the world is full of critics. ive learned, and it was hard, to shove aside all the negativity and focus on what i love and what im talented at. Just stick to it! It takes a while to feel accomplished when being an artist. It took me awhile. But i stuck through it and now my art is better than ever. Stick with it trust me. -nick

I think the first thing inorder to become a succesfull artist is to accept first that you are an artist. Then on every design you make always put inspiration and heart on it. Prove your family friends wrong. Did you know that the graphic artist are earning good this days like they submit there design on contest where they can earn. If someone needs a graphic artist they might find your artwork and they might give you big money.
