Where can I find free animation software?

I am very tight on budget and want to get into learning comic animation to anime. I don't know where to look for free software. Can someone help please and thank you.

For 2-D http://www.pencil-animation.org http://www.maefloresta.com Neither is finished and what they help you careate are clips. There is supposed to be a more advanced program called Synfig but it's just so flawed and difficult nobody I know uses it. For 3-D http://www.blender.org Also helpful programs to know and have: http://www.gimp.org http://inkscape.org http://scribus.net And two projects using this software: http://www.bigbuckbunny.org http://www.morevnaproject.org Look at all the worknotes they have so generously put online.
