Ideas For Things To Draw?

  • Okay, It's Summer. But the weather in Scotland is TERRIBLE so i like to sit and draw. But the weather is so bad ive run out of ideas for things to draw! Please give me ideas!

  • Answer:

In my spare time I also like to draw :-) because i would agree.. Scotland weather is horrid! I like drawing flowers in the different stages they grow, or celebrities. Try a landscape, some Scotland scenery, make it look beautiful :-)

1. your own reflection while in a particular mood - also helps give you a great sense of self. 2. All the best things that have happened to you this year so far in windows or one weird mashed up scene 3. a drawing of your d*ckhead boss with every imaginable sharp implement sticking into him and blood dripping into the cardboard box your going to bury him in. 4. How you'd like the future to be, or the world as it is now, from a particular scene, angle or setting 5. your car only if it was a boat 6. The nearest lampost to your house, only if it was also a machine that sucked people up when they walked past after 12pm 7. a picture of a hammer and a big grin beside it 8. nothing surreal - only draw things as they are - such as your feet....DO NOT move. 9. A friend in a mood you imagine them to be characterized by. 10. a huge penis or vagina, depending on your preference - exactly the way you'd like it to look.

How about drawing a woman wearing a tucked in sweater that is very thick but still looks good and the sweater is stuck when she tries pulling it off? Or a man and woman holding hands but they try pulling away but they cannot separate? I have ideas for stories for comics but no drawing ability but those ideas I would draw if I could.

here are some old-fashioned art school homework assignments I was given by my wonderful teacher: 1. get a picture of something, e.g. from a magazine, screw it up and uncrumple it slightly, now draw that. 2. something highly reflective 3. rousseau, that is all. 4. portrait someone with a medium you are not used to.

I tell everyone draw the room you are in or the room you most want to be in. Of course the Glasgow Festival is over but Frisky and Mannish are also very picturesque. ;-)

Go on the Internet and look up pics of things. Or look at old photographs.
