What is the best Wacom Bamboo tablet for any art like drawing, painting and sketching?
-
I'm getting a Wacom Bamboo tablet this week, I really like art, I'm getting this to help improve my drawing. So I just want to ask what Wacom Bamboo tablet is best for art, I'm thinking the Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch or the Wacom Bamboo Create. What is better for any kind of art from these two, or what is BEST for just normal art (like normal drawings and other art you do at home, not art for like making posters or other stuff like that) in all the Wacom Bamboo tablets? Thank you in advance, I hope I get and answer soon. :)

Definitely a Bamboo Create. It's much larger, has both touch and pen capabilities. The pressure sensitivity is the best out of all the other tablets I've ever had. It's my current tablet, and you would NOT regret getting it. C:

All Wacom tablets are great for drawing! Dont worry about which one. The thing that might be an issue for you is the size, the portability, the compatibility, the accessory functions and the pressure levels. Depending on what level you're at with your art, and how you conduct it (as a hobby or profession) the Bamboo will always be a sturdy choice. Its brothers, the Intuos4 and Cintiq range are very expensive (I would know, I own the Cintiq 21UX DTK - Google it haha) and are for professional use, even if price isn't a problem here it's still daft for a hobbyist to plunder £2000 for a Cintiq. The Bamboo range is still better than any other tablet ranges, and that's Wacom's cheapest option. Wacom also provide good accesories for the Bamboo, such as refillable nibs (they will wear down) and new pens. With the expensive range, the pens are very expensive to replace - so it's all relevant to your level of expertise. I have a lot of friends who use either Bamboo or they've saved for the Cintiq range. The only benefit to getting a Cintiq straight away is you dont have to spend weeks, even perhaps months, developing that hand-eye co-ordination necessary for easy tablet use. Because it's not detatched from your vision, like a normal tablet, you're able to draw quickly and easier on the Cintiq. As far as within the Bamboo brand, I would suggest the smaller A6 option for beginner use. If you want a bigger one, it means you need a lot more desk space, and yet again it's a more professional option. The 'Touch' option is useless and buggy - everyone I know who has the Touch function never uses it! I'd look at the earlier series of Bamboo - they're just as good and you can pick them up ever so cheaply on Amazon. But the current series of Bamboo can be made wireless too. My first tablet was an A6 size, and my second tablet was a Wacom Volito, which was A6. It served me very well and I used it up until I bought my Cintiq. It's all down to what you want from a tablet at the end of the day. If you want 2048 pressure levels, a screen, and have a bottomless wallet, by all means get a Cintiq or Intuos. But if you're new to it, I'd recommend a small Bamboo. They're so portable too! There is a little fabric tab in the side that your pen slots into!! (So cute! My Cintiq has a pen stand haha)
