Does anyone know a good site for this kind of thing?

• Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew a good site I could go to that I could read/post amateur stories on? I have a story of mine that I would like to have others read and critique, but it's not a 'fanfiction' or anything, so www.fanfiction.net, and such wont work. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, and know of some good sites for me, please let me know. Thanks in advance! PS-any genre would do- except a dark/gothic type site. Sorry, nothing against the lifestyle, it's just not what my story is about at all. My story is more about a tortured teen that runs away and experiences a new life, and a new love- with some twists and turns in between :P. Thanks!

  Fictionpress is probably the best, http://www.fictionpress.com/, it's the sister site of fanfiction.net (same layout but just for original stories). I've also used http://www.deviantart.com/# and http://www.quizilla.com/ (though I don't really recommend this one) And I've heard of http://www.booksie.com/, http://www.bukisasignup.info, http://teenink.com/ but I've never used any of them. You could also do what a lot of other people do any start your own website or blog with something like: http://www.livejournal.com. https://www.blogger.com/start or http://www.bravenet.com/
