WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A GOOD MARTIAL ARTIST?

What does it take to be a succesful tatto artist?

• So I've been watching the show "InkMasters" on spike a lot and i'm in love with some of the masterpieces that they put on people's skin. It makes me want to be good at drawing. Not just good. Like badass. lol I'm kind of interested in the tatto industry. Well very interested. I wouldn't mind working in a tattoo shop. There's only one problem....I can't draw. At all. I have no artistic background whats so ever. But I'm willing to practice and learn anything that I would need to be succesful at tattooing. I know tattoo artists have to be extremely versatile and well rounded in all art styles. I'm a junior in highschool so it's kind of late to take art classes now :/ But is there any class or anything that could help me out? I know it takes years and natural talent to be a really good artist. But I also know that talent can be obtained through practice and dedication. Like I said before. I'm willing to learn. So what do I do? Where do I start? Is it to late for me to start? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. :3

  If you can't draw, then why in the world do you want to be a tattoo artist? No, it's never too late, of course, but you sure don't have a leg up. People who are truly "interested" in the tattoo business aren't just interested, they live for it. The good artists can do almost anything you want them to, but some have particular styles, in which case it's very specific what they will and will not do. Also, just like any other artist who's truly passionate, most have been doodling and sketching and practicing from an early age, like 13, and have known what they wanted to do for a long time. I suggest you stop watching Ink Masters and start drawing, pronto. I'm a bit of a jerk when it comes to art, but that's only because I take it so seriously. So, don't take this the wrong way, man, but talent is also greatly appreciated.
