Flash animator for mac?

I want to be an animator?

  • Hi, i want to be an animator. i am pursuing college. Also i know corel draw, little flash and photoshop. i want to know both 2D and 3D. Tell me all the softwares i have to learn and the time i would have to spend on each of them to learn it. At present i have also taken up a diploma course of film making, which include basic Apple Mac-pro animation. Should i learn java, C, C++, Php, too? Also i am not so good at drawing, but have a very powerful (wild) imagination. Please help thank you.

    Hi, You can start with Flash again: 1)Flash scripting is very very important. (1 month) 2) Then go for 3D max studio (2 mnths or less) 3) MAYA software (5-8 months or less) 4) Softimage XSI (6-10 months) 5) In between it is better to learn c,C++, php, etc. they are very short course won't take more than three weeks. It is not important to be a good artist, to be a good animator. The important factor is to have a wild imagination and dedication. you seem good in that. once you know 3D max and flash- you have entered the world of primary animation. Best of luck

just choose the right program and major. the college should put you in the right direction as to what you should learn. usually art institutes and schools that emphasize the arts are great. for example, AI (the art institutes) with campuses all over America. just do a lot of college/school research. and they'll give you free information and beautiful pamphlets so you should really look into it. good luck!

for animator you should learn flash (action script), if you want to learn 2D/3D you should try 3D studio max, I use autocad to draw and Cinema 4D to render. if you dont want to be a web programmer then you dont need to learn C,C++, java, but little of php and or asp is always good to know. also some HTML and javascript and CSS
