What is the difference between regular art markers and prismacolor's markers?

I went and bought some Double tipped Art Markers the other day and was wondering what the difference was between them and Prismacolor's brand of Art Markers. Both brands appeared generally the same except in cost and brand name. Just wondering if anyone knew what the difference was. Also does ayone know of any websites or good books on how to ink etc./ Thank You!

The name. I've been an artist over 20 years and even though I don't work with the markers all the time, I have used them. Prismacolor is just a name brand. Use what you like not because it has a name.

I LOVE Prismacolor markers! They don't show those annoying dark lines when you overlap the color...the color is so even it looks like it was printed from a computer.

prismacolor markers color more evenly. you gotta learn to use em though. they don't leave the dark lines like regular markers do when you go back over a mark.
