What do you do when you have artist block?

What should I draw? *artist block*?

    This is a fun drawing exercise. I forgot what it's called, but basically you look at whatever's in front of you, but DO NOT look at your paper. Put the pencil on the paper and try to draw what you are seeing, but without looking at your drawing until you think you're done. It's good practice.

You could draw a flower, a bug, a mountain, a person, fruit or vegetables, clouds, candles, toys, trucks or cars or buses or airplanes, a pond, or just open a dictionary and read a page of words and see if anything inspires you.

hmm... i don't know anything about you so i don't know what you would WANT to draw...but if it were me i would draw a fairy, or some other fantisy picture...theres a suggestion. or you can do a stillife of fruit or something...but yeah i'd go with a fairy cuz they're pretty:)

I paint and whenever I'm just playing around or painting for fun I like to paint mountains and sunsets. Both inspire me a GREAT deal!

Go to google images and type in random words. See what shows up and maybe something will hit you. They can be simple words like life, beauty, art, love, dancing, happiness, cruelty, despair... Or complex thoughts like "What have we become" or "Our new reality could be tv" Have fun. It might take awhile but it will pass time, you'll get to see a lot of cool pictures and eventually you'll get some inspiration.
