What are the best proffessional art supplies?

• My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I want to get him proffessional art supplies for his birthday. He's an incredible artist. what are the best brands? I've never seen him paint but he usually just draws on whatever is at hand. Usually it's just pen drawings and pencil drawings but Ive heard he does other stuff, too.

There are many professional brands and they all have their fans so get a gift card to an art supply store not a craft store like Michael's or JoAnn. This way he can get what he knows and likes.
