What is post modernism in art exactly?

Post Modernism art project? idea help?

• for my art class we have to create a post modernist project, which shows a solution to problems we have in society. Some examples are: Child abuse, animal abuse, anorexia, things like that. So an My problem with society are the bible thumpers that try and shove religion down your throat and try and tell you to "find god" and your not a good person unless you believe in god. Another girl in my class is doing hers on straight religion. so, her picture is going to be something out of the bible but everything is going to be like make believe characters, which would show her solution to be: make it a joke, laugh about it, its make believe...kinda thing. i have no idea how to show my problem/solve my problem in a painting....(it can be a sculptural/3d thing as well) do you have any ideas to metaphorically stop the problem of religious people shoving it down your throat?

  Here’s one image that comes to mind : You have a priest forcing feeding the Bible to an adult – his hand clipped to the chin, forcing open the mouth while the other hand is trying to stuff the book inside the mouth [something like mother’s may do to tiny tots while force-feeding a medical syrup…]. However one can see the lateral section of the atheist/nonbeliever ‘s digestive system, especially the mouth, oesophagus, stomach …..Here, along the digestive system, draw technological tools like scissors, saws, choppers, clippers, mashers, churners, etc. etc. that are at work chopping off the pieces of book that have entered. [this can also be shown on another individual who had earlier been force-fed the bible & is now breaking it down into waste & smiling all the way]. If you wish, add another visual where the religious symbols are being served very attractively & aesthetically, gourmet-style, with the priests acting as butlers [hands folded, standing behind the eater]. This person can be shown savoring the bible, etc. So what you are trying to say is that force-feeding anything does not help….. Science & technology can just rip it to pieces. If one actually wants to spread religion & its tenets, then the preachers should become like servants & cater to the imagination & needs of the individual – make it attractive enough to have the person ‘Want’ it, or become lured by it & also wait patiently for him to devour & assimilate…..
