How can i crop an image?

How can i set automatic crop/cutting marks around a curved image?

  • i have a series of curved images i want to print and then cut out , so that i get an even white border around the image. Can anyone suggest how this can be done in PSP or Photoshop (or another program)? Cheers

  • Answer:

If you can select the shape with a wand in PS, you can go under SELECT>MODIFY> EXPAND. That will step the selection off of the selected object by the number of pixels you specify. Create a new layer , go under EDIT and put a STROKE on the outline of the selection. Good luck!

in photoshop the magnetic lasso is good, but you can also use the magic wand (it looks like a wand in the tool bar) select the area inside or outide the shape, then select inverse from the menu you can then cut and paste the entire shape

In photoshop use the tool that looks like a coat hanger with a magic wand next to it and drag it around ur shape- it will automatically snap to the nearest edge
