How do I choose a preview file on Deviant Art?

I just joined DA and I wanted to upload a pic I drew on my comp. I use photoshop elements 8.0. My pic is 1000 pixels wide by 1500 pixels tall. And before i could submit my pic, it asked for a preview image. I couldn't figure out what to do! I also couldn't upload a profile pic:( any help or advice about DA would be extremely appreciated!

I believe you mean they were asking for a thumbnail-sized or slightly less large image. It is for people see a small preview of your piece, which they will click on to view the larger image.
