How do DeviantArt point commissions work?

I really like making Icons, and I've thought that maybe after I get a bit better, I would have a point commission for them. I'm not really sure how all that works though. Can you explain it to me as detailed as possible? Thanks.[:

point Commissions are mainly the same as money commissions you can put a point Donation banner thing on your profile and you tell people if they want an icon done that they have to "pay" there you can advertise point commissions on your journal and set up a point price i charge 5 points for icons because they dont take much work but you can charge more or less
