  • How to get into the fashion institute of technology? How to get into the fashion institute of technology? I am a somphmore in highschool and F.I.T is my dream school. • Answer:

Good Thing you decided to start early. I'm currently applying to the same school myself. So here are my suggestions: 1. Do some research and narrow down which major you want to go with 2. Talk to teachers, network a little and be sure to keep those connections. You will need recomendations 3.Go to your high school counselor and ask her "This is what I want, how can I get there?" 4. PARTICIPATE! Make sure you join after school activities. I joined the Art Association, which was fun. Try to go for art related clubs, but any will do 5. Go to your nearest community college and check to see what classes are offered during the summer. They're only a few weeks and only a few days a week. Call FIT and see if the art credits will transfer. It's not very difficult to get into a college course your JR yr of HS, and it's not too much trouble to your schedual. It'll make u look like an independent "go-getter" which is part of what they want. Hope I helped. Apply Early, have everything ready. Apply your JR year if you're serious.
