Objects to draw that are radiant?

What objects can i take in to school to draw for fear, phobias and superstitions?

  • I have to take objects into school for my art lesson. And i have to do some observational drawings and the theme is fear, phobias and superstitions. Does anyone know what objects i could take in or draw?

  • Answer:

You can take in a reaaally gnarly twig/branch (something that has been weathered nicely or drift wood). It's interesting to draw and pretty creepy. For phobia... well there's a phobia for everything isn't there. But a good phobia is a bug of some sort (spider/centipede). You could bring in a plastic bug, but If you find a live bug even better! Superstitions; anything 'tribal' looking, religious artifacts or icon. An intricately creepy gothic cross might be good. But prolly the teacher is asking you to draw things that inspire fear, and dark unconscious ideas in you. When you're considering an object, ask yourself, "do i find this object disturbing yet intriguing?" if the answer is yes, you've got your object!
