How to make 3D work on my projector?

Anyway to make 3D glasses to work for 1 eye?

  • I had cancer when I was 5 and got my left eye removed. I went to go see a 3D movie and of course like I figured it wouldn't work. Just curious if their is anyway possible to watch it with 1 eye in 3D. LIke can anyone think of a way that would even work? Like do the colors make the difference, maybe like a red/blue contact..im not sure how 3d works though so im just guessing

To answer your question . The answer is no .You won't be able to ever see 3D. The way it works is when they shoot a three dimension movie it is done using two cameras at the same time,at slightly different angles to give the same effect that our eyes see or perceive images. Putting the red and blue eye pieces together won't help you in any way what soever. because you don't have the use of your other eye. So you see things in what we would call one dimension or flat vision. Mostly all film is shot in the same way, using one camera therefore giving the viewer a one dimension view or flat view. You would need to have both eyes to view 3D. But like the other viewers stated you aren't missing very much. I was sorry to hear you lost the use of you eye through cancer. But you sound like a fighter and that is a good thing. Good luck to you .

Sorry. The reason 3D glasses work is because of the way two eyes perceive depth together. It won't work with one eye. And I agree with the first answer. I've seen a 3D movie and it's nowhere near as cool and "pop off the screen 3Dish" they make it out to be in the previews.

To add to the other answers, 3D movies are usually bad on every other level. The 3D is the attraction while the story and characters are not adequately developed. The old style 3D like when it first came out required stupid moves like deliberately turning a broom stick toward the camera so everyone would go "oooooh" but the moment had nothing to do with the story. Think about "smell-o-vision" at some point in the movie they have you scratch and sniff a card. Now that could be funny but the 3D never was fun unless you were making fun of how stupid it looked. You are not missing anything

I'm thinking not. The way the 3D glasses work is that your eyes are a short distance apart, so it makes it look like you are seeing something from two slightly different perspectives. Also, the 3D glasses at the movies now aren't red and blue anymore, they're clear. If it makes you feel any better, 3D movies aren't anything really special to begin with! I'm not really a fan of them, anyway.

Unfortunately, it's possible but not possible. The way 3D works is the crossing between your eyes, looking at the blue and red pattern on the screen, which gives a 3D effect. There is a reason why one eye is blue and the other is red on the glasses. Because, a normal person, when they close one eye, things appear slightly more red, and when they close the other, things appear slightly more blue. So I guess the glasses inverse the effects somehow to make things appear 3D when looking at a 3D image. Although, there are 3D glasses that are grey on both eyes, or another color. I remember going to see this movie at this amusement park in Montreal and the glasses were grey, and the screen was normal. I guess it's another technology that I can't really explain. But I hope that you find a solution, if not, I'll tell you...Movies in 3D aren't that good, they give you a headache :P
