    The only place in the UK that holds the adoption records is the GRO here's the link for you, http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/adoptions/index.asp these indexes are adoptions done through the court after 1st January 1927, these registers are not for public use, you will have to phone the GRO, there is also a fee for this service, but I have no idea how much it is. sorry. Don't we all hate it when a company charges a fee for providing a perfectly good service? Anyway, there was no official adoption in England until about 1926, and I very much doubt that anyones adoption records are going to be publicly available online. Maybe if you gave a bit more detail - like what year- what information you already have etc someone may be able to help you.
