What exactly is a certificate of studentship?

I don't understand my dad's birth certificate?

  • I was going through my dad's filing cabinets because there are my stuff are in some of his files, and I shouldn't be going through there, but I needed a couple of my medical records, and anyways, I came across a file that says birth certificate.I thought it was my birth certificate, so I open it up and saw that it was his birth certificate. After all these years my dad has never showed me his or my birth certificate. I've never actually seen mine. Anyways, I was looking at his birth certificate, and there are several ethnic backgrounds listed on it. We are, of course caucasion, but on the birth certificate was listed "Negronian." Does that mean I have some black in me? I don't care, but I always just assumed I was white, and my whole entire immediate and distant relatives are white, so it just would not make sense that my dad's birth certificate says Negronian on it, when his parents, and other generations are white. Do they just list a bunch of different ethnic backgrounds on there, and the first ethnic background listed is caucasion? Is my dad hiding something from me? Maybe someone in my dad's past generations of family was married to a black person or had an interratiol marriage and my dad's been to embarrased to say anything. After all these years, I haven't even seen my birth certificate, and he lost my birth certificate, only has his. He was born back in 1949. He is American and his father was, but his father and mother were overseas during the World War in Japan, when my dad was born. But, I know I'm not Negronian, it's just weird that it's even listed on my dad's birth certificate. There's other decents listed on the birth certificate too. I've just never seen a birth certificate before, so I didn't know what they had on them until now.

  • Answer:

Could this be a list of possibilities or is it selected in some way with an X? Sometimes birth records have a list and the appropriate box or boxes are selected. If you are not comfortable asking your Dad, maybe now is a good time to start researching some family history.

If you had African-American blood in you, the term back in the 1940's and before would have been *******, which is defined as Black, or a Black person. Wikipedia has other entries for NEGRONI: 1. The Negroni cocktail is made of one part gin, one part sweet vermouth, and one part bitters, traditionally Campari. It is considered an apéritif, a pre-dinner cocktail intended to stimulate the appetite. The most widely reported version is that it was invented in Florence, Italy in 1919, at Caffè Casoni. Count Camillo Negroni invented it by asking the bartender, Fosco Scarselli, to strengthen his favorite cocktail, the Americano, by adding gin rather than the normal soda water. The bartender also added an orange garnish rather than the typical lemon garnish of the Americano to signify that it was a different drink. After the success of the cocktail, the Negroni Family founded Negroni Distillerie in Treviso, Italy, and produced a ready-made version of the drink, sold as Antico Negroni 1919. One of the earliest reports of the drink came from Orson Welles in correspondence with the Coshocton Tribune while working in Rome on "Cagliostro" in 1947, where he described a new drink called the Negroni, "The bitters are excellent for your liver, the gin is bad for you. They balance each other." 2. Luca Negroni (born 1964 ) of the CS Forestale is an Italian ski mountaineer. 3. Joe Negroni (September 9, 1940 – September 5, 1978) was a rock and roll pioneer . 4. María Negroni (born 1951 Rosario, Argentina ) is an Argentinian poet , essayist, novelist and translator..
