Has anyone been on the "Halloween Train" in New Hope?

Family names: Tribble, Patton, Hope, Sexton?

  • I'm looking for more family information about my great-great-grandfather, a train robber by the name of William Abraham Tribble, birth date unknown, although I assume he was born in the late 1800s in Polk County, MN or thereabouts. His son was Chester Abraham Tribble (b. 1914 in Crookston, MN, d. 1943 in B'ham, AL), who married Evelyn Lucille Dunagan (b. 1916, d. 1995 in Acworth, GA), descendant of Marion Isabelle Jenkins (b. 1896, d. 1970 in Cooks, GA -- lots of info on her). I'm guessing the Tribbles came over from England to Canada and made their way south to the US?? I'm also looking for info on my great-grandfather Henry Hope (b. 1902 in Shelby Co., AL, d. 1976) and his father, James Monroe Hope (no dates). Henry Hope married Laura Patton (b. 1904 in Dayton, TN, d. 1991 in B'ham, AL), and her parents were Samuel Patton and Mary Elizabeth Sexton (possibly Sexten? Born in CA before moving to TN). If anyone has info on any of these surnames or relatives, please let me know!

The site www.webstigate.com had a POSSIBLE death record for Laura Hope, but it cost $39.95 to view the record/join the site. As you can see, I found a few records on William A Tribble, but it said only he was a Baptist minister in Pike Co., Missouri--nothing about being a train robber).
