How can i find my long lost relative?

My dad was put up for adoption when he was very young. He has 4 sibling that he doesn't know at all. We are trying to get connected with his relatives. My dad has recently met his birth mother, but unfortunately she said that she did not have any information on her children that she put up for adoption. We are trying to find them but we need extra help. Any recommendations or solutions?

repost your question in the adoption section, since they will have far more experience with resources. Meantime..mom DOES have information, but perhaps does not realize it. What she will have is their dates of birth, and location/ hospital of birth. I have an adopted son..and his birth certificate is ONLY changed as far as the parent names (myself and my former husband). All the other info is intact. There are many adoption registries..where persons looking can post "am female, born 2/4/50 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin" for example. Mom should also know if they were released through an agency of some kind and where that was. From your question, it seems that the siblings were older, and MIGHT have some memories. I am going to assume that all of this may have been hard on the mother, and she might be less than willing to deal with these memories. If so, then it has to be done tactfully. Once you have more details, you can start looking through the registries. Mom MAY have to sign a release, that she is willing to make contact.
