How to host the perfect house party?

  • Hi guys, I'm inviting 25 people to my house for a house party. I'm going to get a fire going outside and we're going to just sit around it and drink alcohol and stuff. In my dining room, I'm going to playing music and having food there. In my living room, I'm setting up a Wii so people can play that if they get bored. Does anyone have any tips for how to keep the party going? Thanks. x

    Well you already put a lot of thought into this which is good. Ask if people would rather play Wii, or a movie, because if you rent some good/new movies it could turn into a movie night! If you have a fire, play "Never have I ever" or some game like that and make hot dogs and smores. Also get Twister because when people get drunk, it's the funniest game to play and watch. Or you can buy a bunch of water balloons if it's hot there and challenge the girls vs guys to a water balloon fight in your backyard! But obviously warn them to bring swimsuits and what not because girls don't like it when you ruin their makeup ;) I also watched this really funny video on YouTube where you take balloons and blow them up, put them all into a basket, and you get 3 guys and 3 girls. The girls have to bend over and hold onto something while the guys must grab a balloon, stick it in front of them, and try to pop it on the girls butt. It's hilarious to watch. HAVE FUN!

People don't tend to get bored at a house party as it's all about chilling. Just make sure there's lots of nibbles and booze with good music. The fire will be a nice focal point, but when people drink too much they never get bored

You've already put a lot of thought into it. Love to go to parties where they don't just talk/drink. Have enough room for a volleyball game? Put a huge sheet of paper Mounted on a wall for people to create their own pictures on with their signatures if they wish. Or have something predrawn on it & let them color it in.. Sounds weird, but we did this for one Halloween party and was surprised about how many people really enjoyed it. Guess we all harbor some desire to color from childhood? Put old school chess/checker/dominos/deck of cards out on a table for those who may want to use them. Have fun.
