Answer:
I am so sorry about your house, that must've been devastating. But congratulations on the new home! If you're serving 80 people, it could end up costing a lot of $$ if you are feeding 80 people. Instead you could serve appetizers like crab wantons, mini-keishes, roasted chicken on little skewers, asparagus wrapped in salmon, mini-sandwiches. you could do a couple simple chicken casseroles and some mini quiche and mini sanwhiches and some pigs in a blanket mostly people come to eat you know lol they are just like that so make a bunch of different little things white chocolate covered strawberries for desert. white chocolate isnt as hard as milk chocolate i hope i helped a little.

I'm so sorry your house burned down, but I'm happy that it will be finished. A party is a great way to start over. That sounds like a delicious meal. Tell people to bring a dish (vegetables, fruit, desert, etc.) You could also buy lots of pies, bread, and canned vegetables :) Have fun!

TELL PEOPLE TO BRING A DISH. That is the best thing to use for a housewarming party. Tell them to bring a dish that will serve 5 people. And a drink that will serve ten cups, like a 3L of Coke. More fun this way, less pressure, and easier on the budget.

Assuming most folks will be either standing or not have access to a place for a plate spaghetti might get a little messy. Simple finger foods would work best like egg rolls or mini sandwiches.

80 people is a little much for a house warming party. But I would serve a garden salad and garlic bread with it.
