Little People Get Together Reunion?

Ideas/help planning an informal high school reunion?

• I graduated in 2003. A lot of my old friends from HS (who I keep somewhat in touch with on social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace) have expressed the wish for everyone from HS to get together as a sort of mini-reunion. I am willing to organize the reunion and a large number of my former classmates have said they are willing to contribute food and/or money for the event, but I am not sure how to go about some of the stuff. In planning this, would I be better off: (a) collecting a certain amount of money per person (as in Heather Smith, her husband, and two children per person, not just Heather Smith) and rent the picnic area and buy food (b) having everyone chip in what they can afford to rent the picnic area and then make it a potluck (c) charging a flat amount per person (as in Heather Smith, not Heather Smith and each individual family member who is going to attend) and pay for the picnic area for that and buy food with whatever is left over but still do it potluck style I am expecting this would be something that would include 40-60 people. I'm not even sure how to begin calculating cost! Any ideas of how to do this?

  I would charge tickets to the event; let people know what that includes and if they're interest, they'll pony up.
