How do I make invitations?

How would I make invitations out of cake?

• I'm turning 17 in 12 days,and I'm having my bday party during spring break (in April) at my house in ocala for 3 or 4 days,and I want to do something really cool for my invitations,which I plan to hand out on my bday.I was thinking about getting using the sheet icing bakeries use for wedding cakes and making tiny cakes for the invitations.But how would i get the information on the invitations without it looking bad?Obviously,I wouldn't write it out on the cake because there's a lot of info,since the party is out of town.I want it to look really cute and elegant. (If you don't know what icing i'm talking about, here's a pic: http://www.earlenescakes.com/Wedimages2/tiedyedallweb.jpg The cakes would be much smaller,a different color,etc,but this is just to give you an idea of what i mean,if you're confused.)

  You could make the invitations the "candle" on the cake. You could make a cute invitation on your computer with colored paper, roll it up, draw white diagonal lines on the rolled up paper with a white paint pen, put some kind of string in it for a "wick" and stick it into the top of the cake! Fondant icing may be difficult to work with, so you could do this with regular cupcakes too.
