Where are some of the best murder mystery dinner shows in the US?

Help with a Murder Mystery Dinner Party.?

• I'm planning on hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner Party in October. Open to the public. I'm still in the super early stages of planning so what I've got so far is I'm going to send out 100 or so invites to random people in my area I think may be interested in attending. They will then be able to read over the details and RSVP within 2 weeks. Tickets will be $20.00 and that includes the Murder Mystery, Dinner, Dessert, and the possibility to win prizes. I'm going to expect 50 people to RSVP "Yes." They will also have the option of what type of character they want to play. A major role, a small role, or no role at all, just sit back, watch and gather clues. After I receive all the RSVPs I will send them their Ticket and their role information, along with information andsuggestions on how to dress. (I'll probably do that a week or 2 before the event.) What I'm asking of you guys is, have you ever done this before with a large unknown amount of people. What is yoru advice? What worked. What didn't. And lastly... Can you recommend a company to use to purchase the Mystery Kit? Thanks in advance! Chelsea

  I would be surprised if you get that big of a turnout. 50% with people who have to pay for a ticket and don't know you personally is very optimistic. I'm not trying to be negative, but you should probably send out 400 invites if you want 50 people. Or... hook up with a meetup.com group so that a large portion of the people know each other or are interested in that type of thing.
