What drinks to serve?
-
I'm serving about 10 people tonight for dinner and drinks. I know what to serve about 6 of the guests as they are regulars. 4 of them are girls that are relatively new to the group. They are young (barely 21) and have little to no experience with alcohol nor are they big fans of what I will call real drinks. I'm trying to find something simple quick and cheap to mix them that doesnt have vodka. Any advice? To add this isn't simply a dinner a drinks thing as it is a dinner and then get drunk thing ;)

I just went to a "Girl's Night" party and brought a big pitcher of Sangria. It was so yummy and didn't taste like any liquor was in it! We all got nice and tipsy and we're experienced drinkers! Here's the recipe: 1.5 liters of red wine - try Spanish Rose 1/2 cup of brandy 1/2 cup of triple sec juice of one orange - more if you want it sweeter a little sugar to taste sliced oranges, lemons, limes and diced apple Combine all the ingredients and let sit in the fridge all day. Serve over ice and you can top off the glasses with a little sparkling water if it's too strong for anyone. Also, omit the brandy & triple sec if you want to save money and keep it more simple for the inexperienced drinkers. You can use any fruit you have on hand too. Good luck & be safe! ;)

Pom Soda 16 ounces pomegranate juice (POM) 16 ounces sparkling water 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice 1 tablespoon superfine sugar This is very elegant and tasty, you could even add some vodka for those who are interested. Garnish with lime slice.

Make a bucket of frozen margarita's &/or frozen daquiries & some jello shots. You do all this the day or so before. They have the plastic buckets of margarita mix & all you do is add tequilla & I think water & freeze in the freezer. Then just scoop out. Bacardi makes different flavored daiquiri mixes in a can (where the frozen lemonaid & frozen juices are) & you just add rum & ice & blend. They also have pina colada & rum runner. That might be your best bet since your dinner is tonight. Rum & just about any kind of kool-aid is good, watermelon, cherry, grape.....

We always have blenders to make frozen margaritas at our bunco parties:) .... You can buy mixes and just add tequila. I like mango best, but you can find regular and strawberry mixes too. They come in frozen cans, bottles or even boxes at the grocery store.......

buy a couple different kinds of wine coolers. Alot of people that don't really drink mixed drinks will drink coolers.
