What is a good 80s themed party food?

Pooh themed party food?

  • I'm having a pooh themed party for my son's 1st b-day(yah i know it's silly to go all out for a 1st party but you never know if tomorrow is promised, so I try to make every year and every day I live special). I'm having a costumed pooh character come as a surprize to all the guest. But now i'm torn on food choices. Since there will be kids of all ages and adults I am not sure what to serve to keep every1 happy. I have a few finger foods and snacks in mind that will adhere with the theme (honey pot with teddy grahams, salad & veggie tray with a sign that says "fresh from rabbits garden" possible honey glazed or marinated chicken skewers/sticks, strawberries dipped in pooh theme pastelchocolate(i'll color white chocolate with food coloring) but thats not really food food. Any more ideas? What do u think would go along with the pooh them but be easy to make or pick up cheap and filling.

    i was looking online at a baby shower ideas site and they suggested for a pooh themed shower you could do pigs in a blanket and just call it piglet in a blanket! hope that helps! and best of luck! i think your ideas sound great and i just wanna say that i agree with you. we arent promised tomorrow so why not make especially the special occasions as special and fun as possible

Becareful with the honey, kids under 2 yrs shouldn't have it. Your ideas are cute. It is hard to stick to a theme with everything, so I would also have veggie pizza and finger sandwiches made with chicken salad or whatever you like and use cookie cutters to cut them into honey pots, bears, or other shapes.

Piglet BLT sammiches Owl pellets- no, that's a bad one Roast Rabbit- not good either It seems like you have a lot of "theme" snacks going on already. Don't kill yourself to make EVERY detail "Pooh", have fun with your kid, that's what it's all about right? Bear claws or hunny buns would be a good dessert, but they are quite sugary. Good luck!
