How do i host a perfect house party?

I'd like to host a party at my house?

  • What are some suggestions you can give so that stuff doesn't get broken, stolen, ruined? What's one thing you've done in your parties to prevent mishaps. What should i do or not do? I live at my parents, Im 23, and everyone else is older than me-- 26+up. The reason why I'm doing it at my house is because I don't like to go to clubs because the guys end up spending $200+ on drinks on everyone, and I hate driving all the way into downtown and having to worry about how to get back when everyone else is trashed.

    move all vauluable things such as vases and pictures and stuff keep in a room where no one can go, but throw overs for chair and sofas ect will prevent stains and such why not have the party outside less chance of any accidents?

have the party outside in the back yard. allow them access to the bathroom, and that is it. tell them the rest of the house is off limits. Personally, you need your own place.. if you are 23 and still living with your parents, you need a life... I personally dont think you parents will allow such a party, but hey go for it. ask them. Just tell them you want them there to help control the people from going all over the house...

You guys are adults..there is no reason why things should get broken or stolen unless you have irresponsible crazy friends who don't respect your parents house. You also don't want to host a party where you are responsible for letting people get trashed and than have to drive.

Don't have it at your home. No way to prevent accidents or mishaps. $200 at a club or $200+ damage/incidentals (trust me, they ALWAYS happen!!!!) Take your pick. Taking wine out of white carpet is a b****!!! I know this all 1st hand!!!

put all the breakable stuff in the garage and lock it. make sure the place is well lit and that you have something protecting the furniture. get hammered and dont worry about it till the morning

If your friends are 26 + I would hope that they would have enough class not to trass your house. When I had parties in high school I would put away anything I was worried would get broken or stolen then limit the party to a specific area. Be sure to have acess to the outside so people wont smoke in your house.

If you don't want anything ruined just lock all your rooms exept the party room and take all expensive items like statues lamps or anything out of your house you could also use paper plates incase thing go wrong while you are eating !!! Hope it goes well !! :D

i pre-mix cocktails before my guests come and hid the bottles so i can control how much alcohol is in each drink. im younger then all my friends but a little more responsible so i dont really trust their judgment enough to have the bottles out. and make sure there's enough protein and carbs in the food you serve. and if your parents are cool like mine are invite them to be there too. thats what i did when i lived home. it makes people know you're trying to have a grownup/elegant party.
