Graduation Sleepover?

Graduation party help?

  • my aunt has already booked a place for my cousin who is only a sophomore in high school! i'm a junior so should i start planning mine already? well, heres the thing. i know you only invite close friends and family but i don't exactly have a ton of friends. i hang out in a small, scratch that, very small group of close friends. like 2 people kind of small. so i don't really know what to do... i mean, can we just have a sleepover or something instead of a party? & then maybe one for just my family? or is that lame? do i even need to have a graduation party? thanks for your help! (:

  • Answer:

There's no set rules for celebrating a graduation...it can be just as great going out to a family dinner and you can include your 2 close friends if you like, too. You can still take pictures and capture the moment...and you'll be with the ones who love you the most...that's what counts. If afterward you choose to have a sleepover to chat about the day...then go for it. You're only young once, so make the most of it. If you love the people you're spending time with--then that's all that matters to make a "great, fun time"!

I think you should do whatever you want. It's your graduation. I'm like you-- I didn't really even care to have a grad party. I'd be fine with just going out to dinner with the family haha. I suppose that's lame compared to people who have giant grad parties, but it's not like anyones gonna call you out on it. And if they do, you're gonna be moving away in a few months so who cares lol :)
