Ideas for decorating masquerade ball party?

  • My daughter has requested a masquerade ball for her 17th. I have organised the food, drinks, invites etc but having trouble sourcing decorations due to living in nq. The party is being held in a large room (20 x 10m) with cream walls and burgundy curtains, one wall is all mirrors, curtains on two walls and bar counters on the other. looking to make it fun and elegant. obviously will need to use burgundy as one of the colours, and gold as the second. Possibly a third colour? tables with votive candles, centrepieces with flowers and a mask on stick. but that is it. Any ideas???

    You need some sort of a theme for the party. What makes her happy, where does she spent her time. Pick a theme that you know she will like. eg: if she likes fashion, have a small fashion show, have all the guests dress in a new seasonal fashion as part of your theme.

Is it possible for you to buy in bulk packets of masks and ribbons, as that is what a masquerade ball is all about. I would if possible pin the masks all around the wall with ribbon connecting them. I would make the third colour silver, good luck with it all Kaye
