How do I cook my Thanksgiving dinner?

First time to cook Thanksgiving dinner for the family. Need help organizing. Please help! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!?

  • THIS WILL BE MY FIRST FAMILY THANKSGIVING THAT I AM IN CHARGE OF AND I REALLY WANT IT TO GO AS SMOOTHLY AS POSSIBLE. THE PLAN IS TO PREPARE BAKED MACARONI AND CHEESE. MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY, GREEN BEEN CASSEROLE, CRESCENT ROLLS AND A HALF A HAM. I WANT ALL OF THIS DONE AND STILL WARM BY 2 IN THE AFTERNOON. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY KINDS OF POINTERS OR TIPS ON HOW TO DO THIS WITHOUT PULLING OUT MY HAIR IN THE PROCESS...LOL. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. THANK YOU SO MUCH AND HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON.

The problem is all your items are baked, except mashed potatoes. Unless all the items bake at the same temperature and you can fit them all in your oven at the same time, pulling this off is going to be difficult even for an experienced cook. When planning a menu, you should have some baked items, some stove top items, and some cold and/or raw items (like salad or marinated beets) This being your menu, I would make the casserole and mac&cheese tonight so that all you have to do tomorrow is heat them up. Bake the ham first, while that is going heat up the rest of stuff, then when everything is hot and comes out, cover with tin foil to keep warm and bake the rolls quickly. That's the best I can tell you. Good luck. Don't pull your hair out - the point is to have fun!!
