Awesome and creative birthday ideas?

Anyone have any fun, creative ideas for a birthday cake for my boyfriend? Need help ASAP!!?

• I want to make my boyfriend a really awesome cake for his birthday. Last year I made him a vanilla cake with homemade vanilla ice cream and shaped it and decorated it like a hockey stick (sport he plays). This year I want to try and top that or at least come close. He's hinted at an oreo ice cream cake this year but anything else is good too! He mostly likes vanilla cakes and is not a big chocolate fan but chocolate, vanilla, oreo, mint, or any ice cream flavor would work! If anyone has any good ideas or recipes that would be a great help! Also any birthday present ideas? Thanks!!

  What I love to do to put my spin on the ice cream cake is to make a ban of brownies (in your case, I might bake a pan of blondies or scotchies if your beau doesn't care for chocolate). Let the brownies cool. While they are cooling, temper 1 pint of his favorite ice cream (cookies and cream is in order, no doubt!) and beat when it is soft to make it spreadable. Spread the softened ice cream evenly on the base of the blondies then pop it in the freezer and freeze until solid. While it is chilling, soften a 2nd pint of ice cream and beat to make it spreadable. Smooth the second layer of ice cream over the first frozen layer and pop it back in the freezer until solid. If there is any hope that he might like a chocolate topping, then melt 8 ounces of chocolate (it can be white) with 8 ounces of cream in a double-boiler. When it is perfectly smooth, pour it over the frozen ice cream cake and put it back in the freezer for the final freeze.
