What food could i do for a sweet sixteen birthday party?
-
Hey i'm throwing my sister a sweet sixteen birthday party. And i have no idea what to make for food. Have any suggestions?

Answer:
It really depends on what your sisters favorite food is. Pizza is easy if you're going to have a lot of people, but it all depends on what she wants.

It really depends on her and her friends... In general, pizza is always good...usually you can please everyone...the vegetarian, the pepperoni-lover-only person, the cheese only, etc. Then maybe you can have some more "exotic" foods like go to Sam's Club, and they have shrimp/chicken/steak wrapped in bacon that you can just cook on a skillet...those have been a hit...or deviled eggs...or quiche....think about what YOU would like.

Lots of finger foods and serve sparkling cider out of champange classes(she'll really feel grown up)! Best wishes

When I think of Sweet Sixteen, I think of pink...but maybe I'm old-fashioned. I would love to someday have an all pink tea party with a sandwich loaf covered with pink- tinted cream cheese, a pink cake, all decorations pink. Sound crazy? Yep..but fun and pretty :)

Chicken wings, baked potato buffet, taco bar, veggie tray, chips & dip.

Well, depends on what she likes and how you want the party to be. One idea is lots of finger foods (you can buy huge boxes of assorted in ShopRite). Another idea is to do italian style...you can do Baked Ziti (which is so easy to make), cocktail meatballs (either in tomato sauce or bbq sauce, so far my friends all LOVE the bbq ones), an antapasti salad and garlic knots. You can also make it a dessert party and do assorted desserts. It all depends on what kind of foods your sister likes the most, and then build off of that.

Ya, I would say it depends on what your sister likes as well. I always think it is best to at least have healthy options as well as some 'junk' food. An ice cream sundae making would be fun though!
