What is a political tea party?

Im having the ultimate tea party. what are your thoughts on this one!? i need help please!?

  • im in my early 20's and i wanted to know if you were a girl would you go to the party cuz it's something that I think would bring me and my friends closer together. we have grown up so much from when we were kids I just want to have fun. I never had a tea party before. I will serve alot of minny chocolate chip cookies and alot of different kinds of teas should the tea but the kind that is hot that u pour from a ceramic thingor should i also serve some cold teas. like i tasted this one pomagranet tea with extract it was the best! what else can i serve that should be served at this tea party? like little sandwitches? and pastries. what should I tell everyone to wear? should I have small little gloves made of lace ready for them? ONE MORE QUESTION........ is this party ok to have instead of a birthday party!?

    I went to an amazing tea party a couple of years ago. It was held by a friend of mine as a farewell party for a mutual; friend.. The guests were all aged in their 20's and 30's. It was one of the best parties I've ever been to. Here are some of the things my friend did, hope they inspire you :) * The theme of the party was " Handbags, High-Heels and Handcuffs" . The guests had to be wearing or carrying at least one of these things before they were allowed entry. * The food was simple but done with a bit of flair, for example sandwiches made with white and brown bread and cut into finger sandwiches, fillings included smoked salmon, watercress, turkey , brie and cranberry. * Beautifully iced cupcakes displayed on a stand * A selection of hot and iced teas (that pomegranate tea of yours sounds yummy!) * Miniature cookies (like you're doing) and mini blueberry muffins.

I would be there! My sister-in-law and I have tea parties once a year for our friends. We always have a movie playing on t.v., like Pride and Prejudice, or Sense and Sensibility. There are lots of scone mixes you can buy (you must have scones!) We usually have two or three kinds of hot tea, each in a pretty china pot. We slice an English (also called burpless) cucumber really thinly and put it on white bread with mayo. And little chicken salad sandwiches. I went to the library and looked in the cookbook section for an English cookbook, and I found one with a whole chapter on what to serve for tea. The lace gloves sound so cute! You could tell everyone to wear a shawl and a hat, and it wouldn't matter if they wore a dress or not. I hope your friends love it as much as we do!

I have been to high tea and had a marvellous time. High tea is a meticulous event, with numerous courses of many different bites. When I went we had 5 courses. I do not remember each one, but the last one was chocolate covered strawberries and truffles. The whole affair was 2 hours and it was very pricey. We had a fabulous time and I would love to do it again.

i'd be there. while i was on holiday my daughter and my mother went to a tea house (i had to watch the boys). they had small sandwices and fruit also cheese and crackers i just spent 200 on a fine tes set (you don't have to do that i just collect them. I plan on having a tea while my MIL is here.
