Big Sweet 16 party ideas.

Any cheap sweet 16 party ideas?

• hello. my sweet 16 is in 3 months and my parents dont have alot of money. i have no room in my house or anything to invite people too. so we r going to rent a cheap hall and call it a day. we cant really afford anything expensive. so what kind of things should i do for a sweet 16? i was thinking of making a couple of cds with music to listen to but how much are speakers to rent and stuff? i am really clueless to when it comes down to this stuff. i want to invite like 20-30 pple mostly family and close friends. i need some theme ideas and such. i am not a girly girl. i hate pink lol so any ideas? and what are some basic things needed for a sweet 16 and how much? thank you and if u had a sweet 16 and have pictures please send them to me or put links that would be really appreciated thank you. also im on maybe a 500 possibly to 900 budget for this. i no its not much but im very appreciative of the funds i have. i was thinking that we can make the food instead of catering cause thats alot but when we buy all the food and chips and such is it really worth it? like the money im spending on the food to make how much would catering cost? thank you again lol

  ~planning a party at a hall can be from 3,000 - 10,000 dollars! so i think you should save money by doing it somewhere like a karaoke room (im doing that. i get to rent the room. decorate it. sing with my friends. buy food!) ~also if u want decorations go to party city! i have so far gotten everything i need for decorating for only 200 dollars! ~you cud have a classy Hollywood theme where everyone can dress pretty. and u cud wear red =) maybe a beach theme. or a summer theme. or spring. anything u like u can put it all over a room! ~music u can see if u can plug ur ipod in somewhere and blast it ~for food u can see how much catering is.. but its about 1,000 or 30 per person. since that is a lot... just get food that looks fancy. Edit: oh ur gonna need favors. like a candle or a keychain or anything to give to ur guests when they leave. u also need to have a cake topper
