What are some games that 4 and 5 year olds can play?

What games can we play at a suprise 6 year olds birthday party?

  • I'm planning a suprise party for my 6 year old cousin and i need some game ideas! It will be a small party, just with family. So about 4 adults and 5 children (two 10 year olds, a 9 year old, a 4 year old and the 6 year old). Any ideas will really be appreciated! xx

There's a game you play using M&Ms (or Skittles..or anything with multi-colored candies) where each color is worth so many points. You put a few random ones into a baggie (or a mesh netting, whatever you want to hide them in) and then hide the bags all around. They search for them not knowing what each one is worth. The one with the highest number of "points" wins...and they get to keep the candy. You can do individually, or in pairs or as a teams' event. Go to "MandM Hunt Game" on google to read. It's like a fun-take on a scavenger hunt. Another site to see: balloongames.com Many fun ideas to play with balloons...relay races or even team games where each team gets assigned one balloon each (each team uses a different color...say red and blue)...object is to keep your balloons in the air while trying to knock down the opposing color. Last color remaining is winning team. Kids like active games and the above games are also for older ppl, too, to help balance out a "team". There's also: get some cheap packages of cotton balls from a dollar store. Set them in bowls for each team with a big spoon. Object is to scoop up and carry across room to dump into another bowl without dropping or they have to go back. For more fun: have older ones do it blindfolded but not younger ones. Another balloon game is to have 2 teams and each team gets a balloon and a broom. Object is to sweep the balloon across the floor to the "finish line". When team member gets it across, he runs back with the broom, tags next one to go (or have half the team on one "finish line" and the other half on the opposite side with another "finish line").

Good ol' pass the parcel and musical chairs will do the trick. Even the 10 year olds will enjoy this just because of the competition aspect of it. Twister's good too, and musical statues (when the music stops, you freeze).

Pin the tail on the donkey , musical chairs, hide & seek ,guess what kind of animal I am , jump rope, hopscoth, make sure u burst the animal filled with candy, let them take turns hitting it with a bb bat

Pass the parcel.. Musical chairs, twister. Also a lot of it is about the food. I made my little sister meringue mice and a cake shaped like a mushroom house and she loved it :-)
