How can I sucsessfullt convince my parents to buy me a pet?

You can prove to your parents that you can handle a pet by proving to them that you are responsible and that this is YOUR pet and YOU will be responsible for it.

I would figure out what kind of pet you want first. No offense, but I wouldn't let you have a pet right now because you don't even know what you want. If you can't commit to the type of pet you want how are you going to commit to an animal that could live for the next 20 years.

tell them that you'll pay for it, or really prove your responsibilitiy before you ask them

Start by showing that you're responsible enough for a pet. Begin by saving up the money for the pet, the cage/tank, and a few months worth of food, etc. before even asking for permission to have a pet. If you've had the discipline to save up for quite a while, that will show that it isn't just some fad that you'll tire of in a couple weeks.

annoy them like one of those cell phone commercials that is always on (where the girl talks into her fingers and even switches fake lines)...take a pillow and start taking care of it...j/k make sure you don't gripe about the chores you have to do or take extra time and go out of your way to do extra little things and show them you are starting to take on more responsibility.

u need to prove to them that you are responsible. start by doing all your chores, and more even when ur not asked to. and when u ARE asked to do something, DONT fight with them over it. be mature, and the more mature u are, the more responsible you will come across at, and the more likely they are to buy u a pet.

convince ur parents that theyre smaller, easier to take care of, they dont need constant attention, and teach RESPONSIBILTIY!!!! sorrie spelled that bad] but get creative. parents like creative adn the reasons that could help u in future like responsiblity. also, make sure u suck up. alot!!! pamper them. parents are most of the time more easy going wen they are happy!!!

do your research find out EVERYTHING about taking care of the pet that u want and tell ur parents EVERYTHING that u researched this shows that u actually care about the pet rather than.."AWW ITS SO CUTE" if money is an issue find out the price and upkeep to raise the pet. You should also get a job so u can pay for the pet urself....that will GREATLY increase the chance of ur parents saying yes. If you are not willing to work to buy ur own pet...then maybe u arent fit to own a pet

Maybe you aren't aware of this, but one day a kitten will be a cat, so don't get the kitten. Really if you want a pet, you should already have something in mind. Normally people like something in particular and work towards that, you are going at it backwards. What do you like?!?
