you only have to show them you are responsible enough to take care of another living thing. If you have chores, make sure you do them when you are supposed. good luck

Show them that you are responsible enough to handle one. Do every little errand (now matter how small it may be) to the best of your power and be responsible towards your responsibilities. Actions speak louder than words so if they see that you can handle the little things well, then they might be more willing to let you handle the bigger things. I hope you get your pet!!
