  • i have been trying to adopt a monkey for quite some time now but cant seem to get past all the scams. im interested in adopting a female preferably a Capuchin. i don't have much to spend, but i can promise that the baby would be provided with much love, proper care, lots of attention, and be treated like a daughter. if you can help me please feel free to leave me a email or someway i can contact you. im only interested in purchasing in person to prevent getting scammed. God bless! -I will be in Atlanta this weekend on a trip & would be willing to travel areas including Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky to pickup this baby! Please no personal opinions if you disagree with pet monkeys, im getting one regardless, your wasting your time writing long paragraphs i will NOT read!

If you don't have money you won't be getting a Capuchin. The minimum price as mentioned above is $5000 but they go up to $15,000 depending on the breeder. Anyone listing one at less than $5000 is a scammer who will steal your money and not give you anything. In many states you also have to be licensed and have a large outdoor cage which is going to cost you another $2000-3000 to build When a breeder knows there are people lining up to pay $5000+ nobody is going to sell one for less You can't get one in Atlanta as all non-human primates are banned as pets in the state of Georgia. Only zoos, animal sanctuaries and research facilities can own, breed or sell primates. They are also banned in both Kentucky and Tennessee. Ohio is the only state you mentioned that currently does not ban ownership of non-human primates so unless you live in Ohio, you can't get one anyway or it will be put to sleep once the authorities find out you have one

Your obviously not going to find anyone here. Monkeys are atleast $1500. Capuchins start at $5000. Is your area legal? Do you know the proper diet for your specific monkey? Do you have a monkey vet? Money for toys, cage, food, vet, spaying/nuetering? Do you have atleast 10hrs a day for one? 24 hrs for a baby? You will need 2 if you can't be with it for 10 hrs a day! Primatestore.com has absolutley no scams!!!!!! I've talked to all those breeders.

Before you go on a multi-state quest for a monkey, you need to find out if it even legal to own one in your state. Many states require permits and inspections. And many cities have ordinances prohibiting them. You need to do your homework first. And monkeys are expensive to purchase.

"Hi, I'd like to ask a question about doing something that I KNOW is cruel and horrible. But PLEASE don't waste your time telling me it is cruel and horrible, because I am SELFISH and DON'T CARE about the suffering I will cause by trying to keep a monkey as a pet!!
