What could be reasons I am not losing weight?

What are the possible reasons for my rabbit losing weight all of a sudden?

  • My rabbit is a female living with it's mother, both about 5 years old and are quite healthy. It's only recently that i realised she has lost a lot of weight, from super fat to rather thin. The mother seems to be fine and they are both still eating and drinking well. I have been feeding them both normal pellets for years and it is the first time she is losing weight so suddenly. My mother's friend had a rabbit who died after losing weight rapidly and I don't wish for mine to go the same way. What is happening to her ? I have ruled out any stress from out pet dog as they have always gotten along. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

  • Answer:

its a digestive problem.if its not treated your rabbit will die. this is caused from giving them to many sugary treats or food. you can give her some fruits to try and help.i know my rats like bananas, sweet cherries, melons, strawberrys and mostly everything else.
