How much does it cost monthly to raise a pygmy goat?

• My wife and I are looking into raising a pygmy goat, and i would like to know about how much would that cost a month? We've never raised goats before but its something we are interested in and have been researching constantly, but never any info on how much it would cost on a basic budget. if you could please help us with that info we would greatly appreciate it..thank you

  First of all, goats are herd animals so you always have to have at least two. Also, there really isn't a carved in stone cost per month. It all depends on what type of grain you're feeding it, how much hay costs in your area, and what supplies your going to need to buy. It really isn't too expensive though. I feed Purina Noble Goat, which is $13.95 where I am, and one bag of that lasts my three goats about a month. All in all, everything depends on what you buy and what you plan on using your goats for.
