Should i give my horse more than one shot on the same day, but on differerent areas?
-
I was just wondering if its safe to give a horse one type of shot on one side of the rump and another in the other side on the same day?

Answer:
It depends on what the shot is. If it's a typical vaccination (West Nile, EEE, WEE, RhinoFlu, etc...), yes, it's safe, as long as the horse doesn't have a history of allergic reactions to the vaccines. Vets give multiple vaccinations in different areas on the same day. It's a good idea to give different vaccinations in different areas because if the horse has a reaction to a vaccination, you can determine which vaccination caused it due to the location of the reaction. Also, just make sure exactly where the vaccination is supposed to be administered (neck vs. rump vs. thigh etc...)
