Poll - Are Humans Animals?

yes we are defenitly we are just more stupid

We are definitely animals. People tend to have a dislike of viewing themselves as animals, and espeically as "apes"--even highly evolved apes. This narrow-mindedness typically goes hand in hand with the mindset that some people have of evolution being a myth, rather than a science-based fact that is supported my multiple theories and examples. Anyway, yes, we are animals. We just happen to have the higher capacity for logical thinking, problem-solving, sense of self-awareness, AND opposable thumbs! :) The way we are harming the planet and its ecosystem, it won't be much longer before WE end up on the "endangered list", along with all other species.

We certainly are.....human animals.Each species has its own version of intelligence to survive as does the human animal.We are not cleverer ,as you put it, than other animals,we just think differently and have different priorities due to our physical makeup and phychological attitudes and needs.

i think that we are animals. there is evidence that we have evoled from other animals, like the coccyx or tail bone haha. but yeh we are just a bit more intelligent.

Yes humans are animals. Basically everything you said is correct. That's about all i have to say about that. As far as your second question.....In my opinion, no, humans are not more important than other animals. I think all life is important. I also think that yeah...humans are more clever than other animals...but it is only because our brains can function in one way that animals cant. We have common sense. For example if you tie a dog to a tree it will most likely get itself tangled up and have the leash wrapped around the tree a bunch of times because it cannot use common sense to just walk the other way around the tree and untangle itself. Humans on the other hand can do this. I think that one thing animals have over us intelligence wise is instinct. I think most people would not survive in the woods with no tools or supplies..but I think an animal would because it can resort to its instincts. I think humans have instincts too...but I think along the way somewhere we lost a lot of those instincts because we had no need for them anymore.

We are animals and we need to be more clever than the other animals. We suck put against most other animals, we have no claws, no nice pointy teeth, no huge mass to scare with, no way to survive extreme climates without our air conditioning or heat, we have hardly any hair to keep warm, and we have much less strength than other animals as well. To survive we need our brains, that's why we are smarter because otherwise we would have gone extinct years ago.

Yes! As humans, we are nothing more then animals. Sure, we're at a greater stage of evolution then other animals, but we are animals none the less. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, because scientifically, we are nothing more. :)
