What type of fish is this?

What type of fish do I have?

  • A friend recently gave us two fish for our new fish tank but the problem is I don't know what kind of fish it is. I would really like to know what kind it is so I can learn more about how to care for them. They are pretty cool fish and love to move pebbles around, and love to follow each other. If you can help me that would be amazing! I don't know much about fish, so knowing what kind of fish they are is vital so I can give them the proper care that they need. Thanks in advance!     Looks like a Severum Cichlid to me. Nice fish, but can grow fairly big (up to 12") and are semi-aggressive. Don't mix them with small community fish. Not sure what size tank you have, but you will need about 55gal for a couple of those guys. http://badmanstropicalfish.com/profiles/profile22.html Ian
