How do you know when pink convict cichlids are paired?

• I have a male and female pink convict cichlid they never go to far from each other and usually where the male is the female behind him are these signs of mating and if not how can i increase breeding?One my question can i remove the eggs so they can hatch in a separate little tank?

  if they are paired you will soon know. convicts are famous for being big time breeders-kinda like being the mice of the fish world. dont do a thing-convicts are awesome parents-very dedicated. i only seperate the babies from the parents when the babies ae showing signs of sexual maturity, in which case i put the males in one tank and the females in another and then sell them. in my area, the black and gray are worth more than the pinks but i love my convicts. good luck.
